France: Navy group proposes SCX26 battleship concept to complement, then replace, Horizon destroyers Construction has not begun and proposals are still under discussion. The design will carry a Thales phased array radar based on its current SeaFire radar, and at least 96 Silver vertical launch silos for Aster air defense missiles, the ground-launched Storm Shadow and the future Strat cruise missile. British Tomahawk and CAMM missiles can be installed and are used by foreign customers of the system, but France has no plans to acquire them.
