Lebanon: The Bank of Lebanon prohibits the families of employees from receiving treatment at the Al-Rasoul Al-Azzam and LMC hospitals. Ali Al-Maqdad, a member of the Parliamentary Health Committee, called the decision unfair and inhumane, saying that it violates basic health rights by denying people the right to choose their hospital. The decision covers various specialties, mainly cardiac surgery and radiology, at Al-Rasoul Al-Azzam Hospital and the Lebanon Medical Center (LMC). Al-Maqdad said that this has no practical effect on the two hospitals.
