Global markets are plunging, with losses approaching $3 trillion in one day. Stock indices in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, China and Taiwan dropped $1.7 trillion, gold and silver by $1 trillion, and cryptocurrencies lost about $140 billion after the Binance platform was hacked. Shares of European companies lost about 58 billion euros in one day, and the technology sector fell 2.75%. The reasons given are panic before the mid-term elections in the US, fear of a new military conflict between the US and Iran and the bursting of the artificial intelligence bubble.
