An Israeli soldier accused of spying for Iran serves in the rescue unit of the Home Front Command. The unit is called immediately in every round of combat in Iran, to be on first alert for rescue incidents and missile strike sites. Analyst Doron Kadosh suggested that Iran may have contacted the soldier because it believes that information about the unit's readiness status may reveal Israeli preparations for a counterattack in Iran.
