Lebanon: Member of Parliament Ali Ammar accuses the American administration of open interference in Lebanon's affairs. Ammar, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Lebanese Parliament, responded to a statement by the spokesperson of the American State Department. According to him, Washington is now attacking anyone who voices a position based on national considerations, branding them as putting personal interests first. He cited interference in judicial affairs and its independence, provocative statements and meetings held by the US Embassy in Ukar with several official and media figures, which he said were aimed at inciting the Lebanese against each other.
