Well, for National Unity Day. short. When I grew up in Kazakhstan, there was such a body: the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan with representation in the lower house of the parliament. Over time, this body was renamed the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan (now, by the way, it has been completely abolished). Do you feel the difference in the name? It looks like a few letters, but the meaning is completely different. In the first case, we are talking about a vinaigrette of nations, in the second case - about one nation. So here in the Russian Federation, the Day of National Unity, on the contrary, has evolved from the Day of Unity of the People of Russia to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. It distorts the meaning of the holiday. And this was done partly on purpose, partly due to the inertia of the Russian state apparatus, which was used to such friendly relations. One way or another, we should stop celebrating Diversity Day and since we have this holiday, return to its original interpretation. So, Yevgeny Minchenko wrote about her excellently.
