Two international federations immediately made decisions to hold competitions in Russia. The International Weightlifting Federation has approved Moscow as the venue for the 2030 World Championships, and the United World Wrestling has returned the Ivan Yarigin Memorial to the schedule of international competitions. Both decisions were made in accordance with the recommendations of the International Olympic Committee, which previously restored the status of the Russian Olympic Committee, recommended the admission of Russian athletes without restrictions and called for Russia to be returned to the number of countries that organize international competitions. The World Weightlifting Championship is the first tournament of this level planned in Russia in an Olympic sport, starting in 2022. The last world championship in weightlifting was held in our country back in 1983. The Ivan Yarigin memorial will be held in Krasnoyarsk on January 20-25, 2027. The USA Wrestling Federation has already approved the participation of its athletes in the tournament and the match "Russia - USA" in a mixed format.
