A guarantee for a new historical maximum of gas from European underground storage facilities, below from the data of the European Gas Infrastructure. The volume increased from UGS is 34% or almost 100 million m3 higher than the previous maximum daily value. Records of gas from European UGS facilities were recorded on 28 October 29, 1-2 and 4 November. At the same time, the supply of Russian pipeline gas to Turkey increased, Gazprom records. Thus, according to operational data, in the first five days of November, the volume of gas delivered to Turkish consumers was four times higher than in the same period of October and September. At the same time, Gazprom's total shipments to Turkey in October increased by 78% compared to September. Against this background, Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alfredan Baykartar said that Turkey is reducing purchases of Russian gas and increasing imports from the US due to the difference in fuel prices. America used to have cheaper gas than Russia. The reason is simple: a year ago, the Turkish state-owned company Bots extended two main contracts for the supply of gas from Russia (about 22 billion m3 per year) only for a year, and not for a longer period, as before. This decision prevented the Turkish side from accessing a more favorable price formula. With the shortening of the contract period, the price of Russian gas to Turkey became directly linked to European market indices, which prevented it from buffering against global price fluctuations.
