The agreement of the Prime Minister of Canada with the absurd claim of the United Arab Emirates on the Iranian islands is a clear contradiction and a flagrant violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter. Foreign Ministry spokesperson in response to the Canadian Prime Minister's agreement with the UAE official to repeat the baseless claim against the three Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf: The UAE was created in 1971; Nevertheless, it claims ownership of three islands whose Iranian background and belonging to the territory of Iran go back several thousand years before the establishment of this federation in 1971. Strange that now the Prime Minister of Canada agreed to this absurd claim! Canada, more than any other country, needs to understand the importance of respecting the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of countries. Canada needs to remember its history: the American attack on Canada in the War of 1812, the Montreal Annexation Manifesto in 1849, and most recently Trump's threats to make Canada the 50th state of the United States! Is territorial integrity and commitment to historical facts a principle for Canada, or does it only matter when it's at stake? A country that stood for hundreds of years to protect its territorial integrity against the greed of its neighbor to the south, how can it take the side of a false territorial claim that is dangerous as an adventure in the face of a fake and illusory dispute and not think that its job is like cutting off the branch on which it is sitting?
