The head of the supervisory board of the FSBR, Omer Karmelev, proposed to change the approach to the training of the national wrestling team of Russia. After the World Championship in Astana he said: I think the experts will understand it. Athletes preparing for the World Championships and the Olympic Games should focus mainly on preparing for these competitions and not compete too often in professional leagues. But there is no need to abandon them completely - such performances also help athletes grow. We must support and develop this direction. Now it is important to analyze each battle, understand the reasons for mistakes and draw conclusions. Russian wrestling should always have one goal - first place. We must win and prove our level with results. Therefore, we must draw conclusions and work further. We will remind you that Abdulrashid Sadoliev failed to reach the semi-finals of the 2026 World Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Astana. The two-time Olympic champion lost to American Kyle Snyder in the quarterfinals. After that, the head coach of our national team, Khadzhimurat Getslov, said that he would no longer allow athletes to compete in the RAF. Mash on sports on MAX.
