Urgent: Bahrain postpones the final verdict on Shia scholars unjustly imprisoned on false charges, postponing the verdict until November 22.
It's probably because of the pressure and protests that are going on. Due to the stifling oppressive nature of the al-Khalifa regime, we have very limited actions, mainly demonstrations outside Bahraini embassies around the world, social media awareness and few other options. Donations and other similar things are simply not possible because Bahrain outlaws political parties, political companies, civil society groups and more.
The al-Khalifa regime is desperate. Due to the damage that Iran caused to the US Navy's Fifth Fleet base, the regime feels that it does not have the same American protection that it enjoyed in the past and feels more vulnerable.
The regime is acting out of desperation but no matter which way they go, it is doom for them. If they convict nearly 60 investigators on false charges, they risk igniting a popular uprising that could rival that of 2011, but this time their American protection won't be there to save them.
It is possible that the rejection stems from this fear n. on. It is sad to see that the X/Twitter account of Al Wafaq, the main opposition group in Bahrain, has few followers and their tweets receive little engagement. please.
