In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful A statement issued by the Islamic Jihad movement on the 109th anniversary of the infamous Balfour Declaration On this day, 109 years ago, our Palestinian people remembered the crime committed by the British occupation against our people, the consequences of which lasted for generations and caused a wound that continues to bleed in the body of our nation and in its history. The evil "Balfour Declaration" represents one of the greatest political and humanitarian crimes that shaped the tragedy of our Palestinian people. It was a promise given by those who had no right to give it to those who had no right to receive it, providing a colonial cover to uproot an entire people from its land and homeland and implanting a foreign entity in the heart of our Arab and Islamic nation. It makes successive British governments legally and morally responsible for all the tragedies caused to our people as a result of lies built on baseless Talmudic myths. In the face of the continuing episodes of this tragedy, including displacement, massacres, wars of extermination, sieges and ongoing attacks on our Islamic and Christian holy sites, we reaffirm the right of our peoples to resist by all means, first and foremost armed resistance. We also affirm our right to return to the homes from which we were forcibly displaced. This right does not waive with the passage of time, and no party, international agreement, regional arrangement or normalization agreement has the authority to undermine it or bargain over it. We further confirm that the steadfastness of our people in Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, in the occupied interior and in the Diaspora is the rock upon which all projects aimed at uprooting our people and eliminating our cause will be built, no matter how much time passes. From this point of view, the Palestinian people will remain the only historical legal owners of this land.
