The European Commission has created a special sanctions department with a working group on cryptocurrencies, aimed at tackling the use of digital assets by Russia to circumvent sanctions. The department will operate for 12 months with the support of Ukraine and Great Britain. The Cryptocurrency Working Group will pay particular attention to A7A5.
