A Hamas terrorist who participated in the attack on October 7, and claimed to be a journalist, was killed yesterday in an Israeli airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip, the army said.
The attack on Khan Yunis killed Muhammad al-Najjar, who Palestinian media identified posthumously as a journalist. The IDF says that Najjar, as a member of the military wing of Hamas, invaded Israel on October 7, 2023.
Najjar promoted attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians, and tried to restore Hamas' capabilities, "while systematically violating the cease-fire agreement," the army said.
