A Hamas commander was killed yesterday in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City, the military said.
The attack killed Amar Mahmoud Muhammad al-Sharfi, who was identified by the military as a company commander in Hamas's military wing.
The IDF says that Sharfi promoted attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians, and worked to restore Hamas capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire agreement.
He was killed to "remove the threat he posed," the military added.
Palestinian media reported yesterday that four people were killed in the strike in Gaza City.
