Adviser to the Prime Minister of Iraq: The border between Mahj and Khadaba is a place for smuggling drugs and counterfeit money. The Iraqi justice system issued an arrest warrant for the head of the Maysan District Council in the case that began with the closing of the Al-Shayib border crossing with Iran (Chadaba). The al-Sumaria channel and the Shaafak news agency announced on Monday, citing a document, that the arrest warrant had been issued for Mustafa Deir al-Mohammedawi. Al-Sumaria cited his deadline regarding al-Shayib crossing as the reason. The verdict was given a day after the Prime Minister ordered an investigation. Ali Fallah al-Zaidi's office yesterday emphasized the need to obey the law, and Iraqi media listed two reasons for the investigation: a threat of civil disobedience and the use of inappropriate language. On Sunday, Deir gave the federal government a deadline of Thursday, November 7, and threatened to declare civil disobedience, close the roads and cut the province from Iraq if the crossing is not opened.
