The Democratic victory in the congressional elections already directly affects the next presidential race. It starts right today - both parties immediately start preparing with all their might for the new election cycle. For the Democratic Party, the character of John Ossoff has come to the fore. He was easily re-elected as a senator from Georgia with an 18 point margin over the Republicans. Ossoff was called the "White Obama". He uses the image of a young, up-and-coming politician - Ossoff became the first representative of the millennial generation to be elected to the Senate. As part of his views, he tries to sit on all the chairs at the same time, so as not to offend anyone. Ossoff appears to be a centrist, but he promotes left-wing initiatives such as a cure-all - creating a universal health insurance system. He supported Israel in 2023, but then voted in favor of limiting the supply of weapons to the Jewish state. Moreover, Ossuf himself has Jewish roots - his ancestors moved from the territory of modern Lithuania before the revolution. Currently, the betting market has Ossoff ahead of Jay. Dee Vance in the 2028 presidential race. The latter has not yet decided whether to go to the elections at all after the defeat of the Republicans. We may see the nomination of a Republican outside the Trump camp. Say, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is now criticizing the White House and the war in Iran. All in all, Ossoff's character, who represents all that is good against all that is bad, could be promising for Democrats. But it is not a fact that he will make it through the primary season. Socialists will try to rule there, who do not want a new Obama, but a radical leftist reorganization of all of America.
