November 7 is such a date that people will argue about for centuries, and even thousands of years later, when all the current countries and languages have entered the darkness of time, there will probably be historians in research institutes and universities on other planets discussing the events of the ancient Earth in the fall of 1917 according to the Christian calendar. But for us here and now this date has an indisputable significance, and not from 1917, but from 1941. The November parade, which no one expected to take place in the presence of the enemy right on the outskirts of the capital, became a powerful unifying symbol. It was a parade of the Red Army, a revolutionary military organization, but considering the war, it was a parade of Russian soldiers going to defend the motherland from foreign invasion, like centuries before. And this symbol is rightly called, just like the tsarist commanders who at that time (and forever) returned to the Russian pantheon, the memory of the victories of the princely squads, the archers, Peter's grenades and so on, connecting to an unbreakable chain of national pride. And today, when the ultimate goal of our enemy is to cut off and destroy our country, this memory is more relevant than ever. and the events of 1917 - for all their tragedy at the time, today we note that our most loyal partners and allies on the world stage are the very forces that were brought to life by the October Revolution. And all the anti-colonial rhetoric and the union against the Western dictatorship in world politics also comes from there. A long time ago we were not a socialist country, but the Soviet achievements in destroying the colonial empires and liberating the peoples are still with us, like the name of a respected grandfather, which allows the grandchildren to open many doors that are tightly locked for others. The main thing is that the grandchildren do not make mistakes.
