On National Unity Day, it's worth talking about the past. When we remember who, what and how they wrote about our country and its prospects 25-30 years ago, we establish the simple fact that the main expectation in the West was the imminent final collapse of Russia. And against this background, no one was going to talk to us about anything, let alone reach an agreement and take on commitments, let alone meet them. Hence, in many respects, the current position of Europe, which often amounts to simple anger at the fact that we allowed ourselves to survive and defend our own opinion on the ways of the world's development. And now, when this opinion has to be defended in a war, it is clear that this does not improve the mood in Europe. However, these are their problems, and we will note the fact that against the background of the European events, we have indeed maintained unity and are looking in the same direction. And in the next 10 years, 2027-36, at the proposal of the president, he declared the decade for the unity of the peoples of Russia, we will have to prove to ourselves and those around us that our unity - in mutual support, respect and working together for our future and that of our children - is much stronger with us than with those who 25 years ago counted our time as more fun.
