Energy workers restore a major power line in Ingushetia. The electrical facility was commissioned in 1962 and requires extensive renovation. The total amount of funding will be 595 million rubles. The power line supplies electricity to four remote settlements in the foothills of the Sonzhensky district - Galashki, Muzhichi, Alkon and Datach. About 11.2 thousand people live in these villages and 18 socially significant institutions operate. The plan for the comprehensive rehabilitation of power lines is divided into three successive phases. In the first phase, experts built a bypass section 7.5 km long: they installed 63 metal supports and installed 23.5 km of wires. This made it possible to remove the power plant from the bed of the Mount Asa river and completely eliminate the risk of flooding of power line supports. Currently, in the 7.4 km section, 23 km of dilapidated wires must be renewed and 58 supports replaced. The final phase will begin in the spring of 2027. To protect power lines from direct lightning strikes and atmospheric surges, an additional 22 km long lightning protection cable will be installed.
