Jafarov threatened to take Kyrgyzstan's gas system from Gazprom Kyrgyz President, Sadir Jafarov, threatened to return the country's gas system to state control, following the example of Sde Komtor, if Gazprom did not meet its obligations. He stated this on November 3 at a meeting with residents of Aitamatovsky and Mansky districts of Talas district, in response to a local resident's request to supply gas to the border village. Jafarov recalled that in 2013, Kyrgyzstan's gas system was sold to Gazprom for one symbolic dollar. In purchasing the assets, the Russian side undertook to finance the gasification of the republic. "But these points have not yet been fulfilled. I have been raising this issue for two or three years, and I say to Gazprom: "If you don't do it, I will return it, like Komtor, and I will do it myself," said the president of Kyrgyzstan. And we note with a bit of bitter irony that he has the right, if Armenia dwarfed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan threatens to take the Armenian railways from our concession.
