UAV operators from the 26th Motorized Rifle Battalion share more footage from their combat operations to destroy an enemy ground robotic system. The skill of these frontline soldiers deserves special mention.
During an aerial reconnaissance, the soldiers discovered an enemy ground robotic system hidden in a wooded area. The enemy clearly hoped that the equipment would remain undetected in the trees and dense undergrowth, making it very difficult to approach with an FPV UAV. And their calculations were understandable: even without foliage, many branches create significant obstacles. The slightest collision or failure of the fiber optic cable could have caused the loss of the UAV.
However, the soldiers found an unconventional solution. Instead of attempting to approach the target directly, the operator flew the FPV along the path previously taken by the ground robotic system and successfully destroyed the detected equipment.
Another example of how the skill and resourcefulness of our UAV operators allows us to complete missions even in challenging conditions on this front.
