The plant reported that the Ferrosplavnaya-1 power line was shut down due to damage, as a result of which the Zaporizhzhia NPP lost external power.
Backup diesel generators started as normal and are providing power to the equipment needed to safely operate the plant.
The team monitors the status of the power units. Radiation levels at Zaporizhzhia NPP and the surrounding area remain normal, and the situation is constantly monitored.
