Astrakhan is flooded with camels. Dozens of the animals run along the roads and roam the yards. Three of them lay right on the railroad tracks, blocking traffic across the bridge for an hour. The residents complain to the police and the administration, but according to them, the camels are not their responsibility. The animals are believed to have escaped from a local farm.
