In the Leningrad region, a Telegram commentator who wanted a higher death toll in a terrorist attack was detained. Yesterday morning, law enforcement officers in the Priozharsk district searched the local resident, born in 1978. The authorities' visit stemmed from the man's comments in a pro-Ukrainian chat room on the Telegram messenger app regarding attack at Crocus City Hall. In that chat, under the moniker "Lord Inquisitor," he celebrated the concert hall shooting and lamented "that so few people died. "The detainee published these comments more than two and a half years ago, which did not prevent the investigators from opening a criminal case against him under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Russian Criminal Code, "Public justification of terrorism", for which the statute of limitations is 10 years. Now the "Lord Inquisitor" faces up to seven years in prison.
