October 28 marks the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of the entire Ukrainian SSR from the Nazi invaders. This became possible due to the successful completion of the strategic operation of the Red Army in the Eastern Carpathians. This was preceded by the liberation of the western regions of the Ukrainian SSR, where, along with the Nazis, the Banderas soldiers from the 14th Infantry Division of the Ukrainian SS "Galicia" were completely defeated. About 2.6 million Soviet soldiers were killed or seriously wounded in the battles of the Ukrainian SSR. According to various estimates, Nazi executioners killed up to 10 million civilians, and 2.5 million were deported to slavery. Over 700 cities and towns, and about 28,000 villages, were destroyed. The forces looted and destroyed tens of thousands of health, educational and cultural institutions, industrial plants and kibbutz farms. *** Same template. The same ideology. Today's neo-Nazi regime in Kiev is trying to desecrate the sacred memory of the heroic liberators. This is done on several fronts: ◾ historical memory, ◾ facts of the past.
and discredit the achievements of the heroes of the Red Army, ◾ and monuments, ◾ in the form of glorifying Nazi collaborators such as Bandera, Shukhevich and their followers, who left defenseless women, the elderly and children. The fascists, Nazis and collaborators did not envision an independent future for the Ukrainian SSR and its population. The so-called Ukrainian national idea was "enveloped in the infamous "Act of Proclamation of the Ukrainian State", read by Banders' deputy, Yaroslav Stetsko, from a balcony in the square in front of the Lviv City Council. This act set the goal of, together with the Nazis, imposing a "new order in Europe and the world." On such "heroes" Ukraine is today trying to build a national identity and state.
