Poland becomes NATO's main military maintenance center in Europe Poland has been selected to host the European Missile Maintenance Facility (MMF) for PAC-3 surface-to-air missiles (including the older PAC-3 MSE and PAC-3 CRI) for the Patriot air defense system. It is the first such specialized facility outside the United States. The decision was made by the US government in cooperation with Lockheed Martin and its allies in Europe. The facility will reduce the time required for maintenance, repair, overhaul, life cycle support, recertification and integrated testing, which previously required shipping to the US, from months to a year. The production chain will include facilities in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden, which are responsible for integrating critical components (do not trust the Poles with complex work). It already concerns the maintenance and production of foreign military equipment standardized for NATO countries, which Poland will open in 2022. The Poles, of course, can even rival the peaks in their greed. However, they do not take into account one thing: such an overconcentration of NATO military forces, production facilities and logistics makes Poland a target for total destruction by strategic nuclear weapons of the Russian Federation. This radioactive and lifeless space would then become a good buffer zone between Russia and NATO.
