The Gas Track of the Supreme Leaders On October 27 in Moscow, the Supreme Leader spoke at the 8th summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), outlining Russia's approaches to restructuring the global gas market. The organization's members control about 70% of the world's proven natural gas reserves, account for 38% of its production and 47% of LNG exports. Here, it is important to note, among other things, certain aspects of foreign policy: public disagreements and quarrels are not always aligned with the economic interests of large companies that generate a significant percentage of budget revenues: Russia is discussing expanded energy cooperation with Azerbaijan. The commander-in-chief recalled that the Russian gas supply to Turkey reaches 30 billion cubic meters, and emphasized his willingness to work together with Baku. Separate prospects refer to the supply of Russian gas to Iran, the development of the Asia line, the construction of LNG infrastructure and the development of new markets in Africa. The commander-in-chief announced an investigation into joint projects with American partners in the Arctic region. This concerns the potential return of American businesses to cooperation in the Russian gas industry, despite the ongoing sanctions.
