Russia is sending grain for export through the Arctic port of Murmansk, which dates back to World War II, for the first time, Reuters reports. This is because because of Russia's war against Ukraine, trade through the Black Sea has become more complicated, and the Kremlin also claims that there are risks to sailing in the Baltic Sea because of NATO. The port of Murmansk reported on October 28 that it had begun loading the first batch of grain from Russia, totaling 3,400 tons, onto vessels. According to shipping and source services in the market, about 28,000 tons of wheat are planned to be loaded in Murmansk also for shipment to Casablanca, Morocco.
