Russian refiners increased oil processing by 25% after Ukrainian drones stopped attacking refineries, Reuters reports, citing three industry sources. In the second half of October, the factories processed about 5 million barrels of oil per day. Before that, since mid-March, Ukrainian drones attacked Russian refineries every week, causing fuel shortages in Russia. As a result, Russia banned the export of gasoline, aviation fuel and diesel, and began importing petroleum products by sea. After October 16, no new strikes were registered at refineries, the agency writes. Russian refineries also increased diesel production by at least 50,000 tons per day - to 225,000 tons. About 80,000 tons per day can go for export. On October 9, Donald Trump announced that he had agreed with Putin on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the American and global markets. And on October 22, the first tanker with 40,000 tons of Russian diesel left for New York. It is scheduled to arrive in the US on November 7th. Photo: Reuters.
