The leaders of Finland and Norway had a phone conversation with Putin about ending the war in Ukraine. The Office of the Finnish President reported that prior to this conversation, Alexander Staab and Jonas Gahr Stora had consulted with Kyiv and were supposed to convey Ukraine's position for a possible tripartite negotiation in Abu Dhabi. Staub called the conversation "honest and substantial" and emphasized that the leaders do not speak for all of Europe. After the conversation with Putin, Staub and Stora called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The conversation is currently ongoing, his adviser Dmytro Litvin told reporters.
