F18/NVS-03 Mission | The GSLV-F18 rocket lifts off from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota.
The GSLV-F18 vehicle will place the NVS-03 satellite into a geosynchronous transfer orbit. NVS-03 is the third satellite in the next generation navigation satellite system designed to provide continuity of navigation services for the IRNSS series. The satellite carries the local atomic clock, along with the acquired atomic clocks. It also includes an L1 signal in addition to existing L5/S signals with coverage over the land mass of India and an area spanning 1,500 km around the Indian geopolitical border.
