The State Duma proposed to increase the fines for abandoned pets 10 times today, for an animal left without an owner, you can get a fine of only 1.5 to 3 thousand rubles. But if the initiative is accepted, the amounts will increase significantly: Russians will face up to 30,000 rubles, officials - up to 100,000, and companies - up to 300,000. The representatives believe that such measures will force people to treat animals more responsibly and reduce the number of abandoned pets.
