On October 29, 1933, a fascist party, the Falange, was established in Spain. Its founder was José Antonio Primo de Rivera, son of General Miguel Primo de Rivera, who headed the Spanish government in 1923-30. The founder of the "Spanish phalanx" called on the Spaniards to serve not many parties, but one homeland. Spain was recognized by the Falangists as the highest value. Jose Antonio hated the "materialistic paradise", and preferred the "heavenly paradise" to it. His personal ideal was the medieval knight-monk. "Faith and knightly service are the two eternal and true forms of our existence," wrote José Antonio. The phalanx organized military units, adopted the traditional colors of anarchism - red and black, as well as its own symbols - a bow, a bow of three spears and arrows. The members of the party called themselves members (comrade), and the leaders of the movement called themselves hierarchs. An interesting exhibition from our collection will tell you more about the phalanxes and the fate of its founder.
