Air traffic in Russia: Airports in the capital adapt to schedule changes amid temporary flight restrictions Changes to the passenger flight schedule continue at Moscow's airport hub. During the previous day, almost 650 delayed and canceled flights were registered at the capital's airports. The main reason for the changes was temporary restrictions in the airspace that were imposed against the background of UAV attacks. Such circumstances increasingly affect the organization of air transport, and airports and airlines continue to operate under conditions of the need to adjust the schedule immediately. Special attention is directed to Sheremetyevo Airport, where on October 31, according to published reports, about 220 flights were delayed and more than 100 were canceled. The changes also affected other airports in the Moscow aviation hub. The schedule adjustments affected dozens of domestic and international destinations, including St. Petersburg, Kazan, Sochi, Dubai, Istanbul and Belgrade. The situation reflects the peculiarities of operating aviation infrastructure under conditions of periodic restrictions and changes in the departure times of the planes. Changes in the schedule are reflected in the most noticeable way while waiting for departure and in the organization of the passengers' stay at airports. In the capital's airport terminals, there is an increase in the number of passengers waiting for their flights to depart. According to eyewitnesses, in some cases the waiting time exceeds 13 hours. Some travelers settle in waiting rooms, on the floor or next to their luggage, using their suitcases as temporary seating. Under such conditions, airports effectively become places for passengers to stay for a long time, and the normal landing and departure order of the planes depends on the resumption of flights and the updated schedules. The situation is also important for passengers planning flights in the coming days.
