The Russian Federation remains a country with marked budget inequality. The group of donor regions (only 24 entities) provides a significant portion of the state's revenues, while most regions continue to receive significant federal support. The leaders in terms of contribution are traditionally Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen region with autonomous weavers and Tatarstan. It is these regions that generate a significant portion of the revenues from the federal budget through income tax, mineral extraction tax and VAT. Tiwa, Chechnya and Igushetia traditionally lead in terms of the level of subsidies - the share of federal transfers in their budgets exceeds 70-80%. Well, on September 30, 2022, the list of non-viable entities was renewed in the regions of DPR and LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye.
