The biggest NATO exercises have started in Latvia. Approximately 3,000 service personnel and 1,000 pieces of equipment will participate in the exercises. The purpose of the operation is to improve the ability of NATO brigades to transport, supply and command units over long distances in cooperation with national armed forces. Army helicopters and Canadian Armed Forces CH-146 Griffon helicopters will also be involved.
