Well, that's what you'd expect. The court accepted the claim of the prosecutor of the Kaluga district Konstantin Zhilyakov regarding the conversion of the property of Vadim Martynov, former head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kaluga, to state income. The property is valued at 17.8 million rubles, which far exceeds his official income for several years. According to the press service of the Kaluga District Attorney's Office, the basis for submitting the request to the court was the results of an investigation, in which it was found that Martynov purchased in 2020-2022 a Toyota Camry, an apartment in the Urals, as well as a 1.9 thousand square meter plot of land in the Borovsky district, on which he built a two-story brick house. The former head of the regional interior ministry registered most of this property in the name of his retired mother. Martynov is now arrested. His property will go to the treasury.
