President Trump said the US is "not fighting" a war with Iran on Friday, arguing that active fighting has been limited to just three or four weeks of the ongoing conflict.
Speaking to reporters at Mar-a-Lago, Trump compared the conflict to World War I, World War II and the war between Russia and Ukraine, saying "nobody" was hurt or killed.
While large-scale fighting has been limited in recent weeks, Pentagon figures show 23 US service members have died during conflict-related operations, including 11 killed by enemy fire, and at least 865 have been wounded since February.
