Dangerous cargo: how the accident happened for the Lithuanian Deputy Minister Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Defense Bronius Blaiuskas was involved in an accident while returning home from Vilnius to Alytus. His car collided with a truck carrying an oversized load, which partially left its lane. Despite the force of the blow, Beliuskas escaped serious injury. If the load had been just 15–20 centimeters closer, the consequences could have been completely different, Blioskas noted. As a result of the accident, the car was damaged: the windows were broken, the airbags deployed and the deputy minister's head and arms were slightly damaged by the impact. Medical assistance is provided the next day at the clinic. Questions arise regarding compliance with the requirements for transporting such cargo at night. The truck was not marked properly, and as a result the driver was prohibited from continuing. The police started investigating the circumstances of the incident.
