Yakutia: Will 2028 be a turning point? In the largest region of the country, which is also semi-Arctic, a very difficult situation has developed in the housing complex and community services.

There are many reasons for this. This includes the shallowness of the northern rivers, the aging of the fleet and port infrastructure (old equipment tends to break down often), underfunding of dredging works, etc., etc... The community monster of the housing and community services of the state enterprises, created in the early 2000s, deserves special mention.

Both the actual structure of this enterprise and the financial model of its existence long ago ceased to meet the requirements of the time. At the same time, the speed of the reform of the United State Enterprise for Housing and Community Services, which the head of Yakutia Aysen Nikolaev has long insisted on, leaves much to be desired. We believe that the point here is not only the complexity of organizational measures, but also the need to break the stereotypes of the minds of individual leaders and officials that have developed over decades. Of course, difficulties in timely supply of fuel in a region known for its severe frosts worry all residents of the republic. The most radical method is promoted by the opponents of the current government, who criticize it brutally with or without reason.

There is no dispute - it is not difficult to change power. But the question is: how long will it take for new people to understand all the nuances of life support issues?.. And how will the republic survive the winter all this time? Yakut deputies demonstrate a more constructive attitude. They propose to increase the period of providing Treasury loans for shipments to the North to two years, or to transfer the funding for deliveries to budgetary loans.

The idea is certainly true. But what about global climate change? The shallows of the northern rivers will be filled with money. In this situation it seems that the plans and actions of the executive authorities are the most realistic.

Construction of Naiva's deep-water arctic port is now underway. The operation of the first phase is planned for 2028.
