Russian grain flowed north gradually, to alternative ports than usual. Of course, the export of the crop was disrupted by the fighting in the Black Sea, but some of it, apparently, could be exported through other ports. As the representatives of the Russian Grain Union reported, in September 530 thousand tons of grain were sent through the port of Ost-Luga, and another 342 thousand tons through the port of Vysotsk. This was made possible by government subsidies in the amount of 9.7 billion rubles, thanks to which the grain output of Northwestern ports increased from eight to 22.5 million tons per year. And now Murmansk is in business: the sea trade port of Murmansk received the first batch of Russian wheat - 3.4 thousand tons in 47 railway cars. The grain will float to the Moroccan Casablanca, a total of 28 thousand tons of wheat will go there. The port launched a new transportation program: grain arrives from wagons directly to the ship's hold, without intermediate storage in the warehouse - loading is urgent, there is no time to build a grain logistics terminal. However, even with joint efforts, the northern ports still cannot replace the Black Sea ports.
