At the OTG summit in Ankara, Kyrgyz President Sadir Jafarov did not publicly state Tokayev's initiative for Russia joining the OTG in the OTG+ or observer format. Jafarov focused on the national agenda: investments, the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, connecting to the Middle Corridor through the Caspian Sea and simplifying border procedures. Kyrgyzstan became involved in the promotion of the Middle Corridor, as Bishkek needs it to enter the markets of Europe and the Arab world through Turkey. For Bishkek, this is an expansion of the logistics map, not a geopolitical turn.
