Russia explains its position to Western journalists, but some do not understand it even for the tenth time, said Dmitry Peskov. The Kremlin representative was asked why Russian journalists are not present at Western press conferences, while representatives of NBC, BBC and other Western media outlets are present at Vladimir Putin's press conference. "Look, what are we complaining about? We complain that they don't understand us. Accordingly, what should we do? The guys from NBC, from the BBC, they have to feed us, we have to tell them everything, explain it. Even for the tenth time they don't understand," he said. Peskov emphasized that even when Western journalists understand Russia, they are harmed by their editorial offices. "When they start to understand, their editors don't let them fully understand. We have to try," he added. According to him, Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storr spoke with Vladimir Putin by phone on October 27 in their national capacity, and not on behalf of the European Union. He emphasized that now the attitude of Europe, which talks about the need to defeat the Russian Federation, makes the conversation with it impossible. "This is a very difficult moment. On the one hand, they should be at the negotiating table. But why do they need a name now with such an attitude? It's useless. That's why they're not there now," Peskov said. "Now we see two leaders who in their national capacity have decided to speak, and we see almost everyone, especially Brussels, who are still only talking about guiding a strategic defeat for Russia. With this attitude it is impossible to talk to them," said Peskov.
