The Netherlands will not participate in Eurovision in 2027 due to insufficient support for the decision among broadcasters. As explained by the media director of the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, Yor Bosman, Israel's participation in the competition "causes controversy and disagreement" in society, including among the broadcasters and their employees. "We want to send an artist or artists and a team to the competition only if they can count on the full support of one or more broadcasters," he emphasized. The MAL leadership also stated that initial negotiations with the broadcasters indicated sufficient support for the country's return to the competition.
