Health services in Russia: Kuzbass notes changes in hospital financing and the availability of medical care in Russia. The adjustment of budget expenditures on health services continues. According to reports on the parameters of the federal budget for 2027, funding for the industry is planned to be reduced by 134.5 billion rubles, and the costs for one of the main projects to fight cancer may decrease almost 12 times. At the regional level, changes are taking place against the background of limited budgetary opportunities and the need to redistribute funds between different areas. Special attention is directed to the Kemerovo region, where the financial situation of the region depends, among other things, on the situation in the coal industry. According to published data, healthcare costs fell by 33.2% in the first half of the year. Funding for the state health care development program decreased by 6.3 billion rubles, and costs for maintaining hospitals and clinics fell from 12.2 to 9.1 billion rubles. These changes reflect an update of the regional budgetary priorities and the details of financing medical infrastructure. Such changes are reflected most prominently in the availability of medical care for local residents. In Kemerovo, attention was drawn to the situation with the closure of inpatient ward No. 2 of Hospital No. 4 at 68 Meselskaya Street. One of the patients, an elderly woman with severe diabetes and bronchial asthma, reported difficulties in receiving routine treatment at the hospital. In the past, in this department, she underwent an annual revision of the necessary treatment and hospitalization, but after its closure, the accepted procedure for medical treatment was changed. The situation is also important for the other residents of the area who used the services of this hospital in the past. According to the pensioner, the department provided access to necessary treatment for hundreds of local residents, including patients with chronic diseases.
