From the reader's email of "Kremlin without towers": "I would like to draw the public's attention to the bill prepared by the Russian Ministry of Education (TA 172214), which officially aims to improve the status of teachers and expand their social guarantees. At the state level, the task is to strengthen the teacher's authority, but the content of the document raises difficult questions. Will it turn out that under the guise of supporting teachers, we are actually increasing the existing work and increasing the existing load? The most worrying thing is the change in the right to further professional education. The Ministry of Education suggests removing the words "according to the teaching activity profile" from the law, and replacing the current wording with the more vague concept of "professional development". Formally, the right to study every three years remains the same, but wouldn't this create the opportunity to replace full-fledged training with online seminars and internal events? After all, real training requires money, release from work, continued earning and sometimes payment for travel. At the same time, individual programs of the State University of Education already cost 4,000 and 35,000 rubles. Will all this lead to the costs of the necessary training being transferred to the teachers themselves? The selectivity of social guarantees raises no less questions. A new basis for awarding the title "veteran at work" after 25 years of work is offered to teachers, but why do educators, teachers, speech therapists, speech therapists and other experts find themselves left out? Teachers working independently as individual entrepreneurs are also not covered by the several guarantees offered. And the introduction of mentoring for young teachers comes with new responsibilities for schools without sufficiently clear funding sources and a transition period. But the most important thing is that all this concerns not only the teachers, but the future of our children and the entire country.
