The Kremlin does not yet plan to change the format of the president's message to the Federal Assembly, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told Yedah. There is still no certainty about the date either, according to his words. The president has not decided whether the message will be announced before the end of 2026, given the election of a new State Duma and a major renewal of the senatorial corps, Peskov said. "When the president deems it necessary, he will announce the announcement. He still hasn't made a decision," he said. The last time Putin addressed the Federal Assembly was in February 2024, on the eve of the presidential election. There was no announcement in 2022, when the special operation began, and in 2025. In August, presidential envoy to the Duma Harry Mink said the format could be adapted. “Wait and see. It is not a goal in itself to speak before the chambers. "Wrong time and wrong tasks," he noted at the time. maximum | Telegram | Newsletter | iOS app | android.
