Illegal dumps were found in seven districts of the Leningrad region.
Inspectors found violations near the container sites and in nearby areas: construction waste and household waste, old furniture, tires and branches. In some places, the garbage piles reached 100 cubic meters.
The government supported the idea of introducing administrative liability for poor maintenance of container sites. The work to locate and eliminate landfills continues.
