Jaya the monkey from the Leningrad Zoo may be sent to another city. A miracle did not happen. The 10-month-old lion-tailed macaque was not accepted by his relatives. From the first days of her life, the baby was nursed by the zoo staff, and instead of her mother's belly, she was given a warm glove with a hot water bottle. Now experts are looking for a new group for Gia, where she can find her place among her relatives. Her story recalls the fate of the Japanese macaque Punch, who became famous for his plush toy.
